David G. Umbaugh
David has 34 years of experience in Estate Planning and Business Law. He regularly works with individuals and executive-level managers to help plan for future asset preservation and distribution that can minimize tax- and probate-related issues. In addition, he counsels his clients on beneficiary designations, survivorship, trusts, powers of attorney and guardianship.
David is well-respected for being able to genuinely listen to his clients’ goals and then providing them with personalized legal service in areas including business practice, estate planning, post death administration and planning for children with disabilities.
A long-time resident of Hudson, Umbaugh is a member of the Hudson Community Foundation. He also holds a professional membership with the national collaborative network WealthCounsel™. He practices throughout Northeast Ohio and regularly speaks on legal topics that deal with Ohio and Federal Estate Tax, the Legal Aspects of Retirement Plans, Special Needs Trusts for Disabled Children, the Ten Common Legal Mistakes in Estate Planning, Probate Requirements, Living Will Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts and Business Succession Planning.
