Debra S. Shifrin

Debra Shifrin is Special Counsel and leads the Firm’s Social Security Disability practice. She has over 37 years of experience representing disabled individuals before the Social Security Administration and the Veteran Administration.  Debra assists her clients in navigating every aspect of the Social Security Disability process. In addition to practicing law, Debra often presents to groups throughout the state about the Social Security Administration, law firm management, and how law offices can become paperless.

Debra is married to Steve Newman, and they have two sons – one is a lawyer in Fairlawn, Ohio, and her other son works for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. When not at the office or in hearings, Debra loves to travel, read, sing, and cook.
