DK Announces 2 New Locations
On July 1, 2008, Day Ketterer opened two new Ohio locations - in Hudson and Cleveland - marking another milestone in the Firm's 136-year history. This is the first time Day Ketterer has opened locations in Summit and Cuyahoga counties. As part of this northern expansion, David G. Umbaugh joined the firm as a member and his primary office will be at the Firm's Hudson location at 110 W. Streetsboro, Suite #3B. The Firm's home office is located in the Millennium Building in downtown Canton, Ohio and its Cleveland location is also in the downtown business district at 600 Superior Ave. East, Suite 1300. Day Ketterer was originally founded by William R. Day who served as the United States Secretary of State under President William McKinley in 1898. Later that same year, he made history when he negotiated peace with Spain and signed the Treaty of Paris to end the Spanish American War. He then served as a justice for four years on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and as an associate justice for 19 years on the Supreme Court of the U.S.
