Go Green

Day Ketterer Law Firm Go Green Recycling InitDay Ketterer Ltd. cares about the environment and actively chooses GREEN initiatives to positively impact our workplace now and our world tomorrow.

Recycle & Reduce!

Recycling and reduction initiatives are important in our efforts to make Day Ketterer more environmentally friendly.  While legal work generates a lot of paper - we are committed to increased electronic communications and e-filing systems to help reduce consumption.  To keep excessive paper out of landfills and protect our clients' confidential information, we actively cross-shred and recycle retired files, duplicate files and other non-essential paper materials.

Day Ketterer GREEN best practices currently focus on:

  • Reducing paper consumption
  • Reducing energy consumption
  • Greater efficiency in office operations
  • Purchasing environmentally friendly products and supplies
  • Recycling aluminum cans and plastic in our lunchroom

Through employee initiatives, Day Ketterer has added recycling bins in its lunchroom to recycle plastic materials and collect Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC program).  Donated to local fire departments, funds from these recyclables are used to help burn victims and their families with:

  • Special protective clothing not covered by insurance
  • Lost toys or pets from a home fire
  • Exercise equipment for therapy
  • Transportation to appointments
  • Social events
  • Additional educational programming and firefighter training
