Hudson Artist Paul Adams

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Paul and his family moved to Hudson in 1990.  He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The University of Dayton in 1978, where he majored in Commercial Design.  Paul developed his particular painting style by studying painting with local artists:  Barney Cole, Jack Mulhullen, Tony Cross and Marc Moon.  He further developed his skills by attending workshops of nationally renowned artists such as Arnie Westerman, Don Andrews and Joe Bohler, among others.  Subjects for his paintings range from landscapes and seascapes to portraits. Paul describes his approach to painting this way, "I try to paint bright, with contrasting values to convey a feeling of light in my paintings.  This sense of light is what brings the painting to life.  I have painted in other mediums, but found watercolors to be the most challenging and rewarding, and the most effective in conveying this sense of light." Paul is a member of the Hudson Society of Artists and the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center.  He exhibits his work in local galleries and art shows, including Hudson's Art on the Green.

All paintings featured in the Hudson Office are for sale. Please contact Paul Adams directly at 330.655.7918.
