John M. Prelac

John advises clients throughout Stark and surrounding Ohio counties in matters involving estate planning, probate law, estate litigation, and business law. He provides individualized attention to meet the legal needs of his clients.

For the past 30 years, John has been trusted by clients throughout northeast Ohio to develop estate plans that protect their interests, ensure their wishes are carried out, and children are cared for. Whether you are trying to advance charitable giving, protect your children from themselves, or provide for the support and education of future generations, John will take the time to listen to your desires and explain the benefits of wills, trusts, guardianships, powers of attorney, and other estate planning techniques to reach your goals.

When unfortunate estate and probate litigation issues arise, John is often relied upon to enforce the original intent of estate planning documents.  His in-depth knowledge and experience with Ohio’s estate and probate laws allows him to protect you and your family’s interests in power of attorney abuse and misuse issues, enforcement of trust provisions, protection of beneficiary interests, missing heir searches, and contested Ohio wills, trusts, and estates.

Over the past two decades, John has helped hundreds of businesses throughout northeast Ohio develop their concepts and ideas into recognized household names in the service, manufacturing, and franchise restaurant industries.  John regularly visits his clients' businesses, using his knowledge gained from these visits to help ensure the legal framework of the corporate structure, leases, contracts, employee rules, and regulations comply with state and federal regulations as well as with the company's goals and objectives to enable corporate growth and development. His clients trust him to advise them on legal issues pertaining to:
