Property Tax Appeals Due March 31st

By now you should have received and paid your bill for real estate taxes for the first half of 2014. Research shows that many residential homes and commercial properties are overvalued for property tax purposes.

Filing an appeal against your property tax valuation can often help in significantly reducing your property taxes. If you question the determination by your county auditor of your Property’s Fair Market Value, you only have until March 31, 2015 to contest the 2014 value of your property for real estate tax purposes.

If you think your property may be improperly valued and would like assistance in filing a challenge, please contact Tom HartnettMatt Yackshaw, or your Day Ketterer attorney at info@dayketterer.com or 330-455-0173. Together we have successfully represented countless commercial and residential property owners throughout Northeast Ohio in their efforts to reduce their property taxes.
