Rick Arnold Inducted into BGSU ROTC Hall of Fame

Attorney Rick Arnold was recently inducted into the Bowling Green State University Army ROTC Hall of Fame for his service and leadership to the program. A member of Day Ketterer Ltd., he represents clients in the area of tax and estate planning, probate, business planning and formation, and business succession planning.

Arnold enlisted in the National Guard in 1980 and received his commission through ROTC his junior year of college. His branch was Air Defense Artillery and he served with a reserve Armored Cavalry unit leading the Air Defense detachment. Last summer, Arnold established a $50,000 Emergency Aid Fund through the Alumni Association in support of the Army ROTC cadets. This fund provides assistance to any BGSU Army ROTC cadet who has achieved junior status, senior status or completion status when they encounter a financial emergency. This fund may be used for university tuition, fees, books, and room and board. "Rick's support of the cadets epitomizes our Hall of Fame's mission ... to honor those alumni, former cadre and individuals associated with the program for significant contributions to country, community and/or the BGSU Army ROTC program," praised Director of Alumni David Ridenour. Denise Sautter, staff writer for the Canton Repository featured his story in its May 28, 2009 newspaper edition. Read more
