Shandor and Kaminski Elected to Membership

The Northeast Ohio regional law firm of Day Ketterer Ltd. announced the election of Steven D. Shandor and John S. Kaminski to the law firm’s Membership effective January 1, 2013.

A member of the Firm’s banking and bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice groups, Shandor represents business owners, corporations and banks in the area of commercial and civil litigation disputes involving matters such as Creditors’ Rights, Loan Restructuring and Workouts, Commercial Collections, and commercial litigation. His experience includes complex foreclosures and pursuing deficiency judgments on behalf of lending institutions. Shandor previously served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Mahoning County.

Shandor is a member of the Ohio, Mahoning County and Stark County Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice in all Ohio Courts and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio.

Steven received his J.D. from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law in 2004 and his M.A. from Youngstown State University in 2001 and his Bachelor of Arts from Youngstown State University in 1997.

Shandor serves on the Board of Directors of HandsOn Mahoning Valley as well as the Board of Trustees for the South Range Baseball Association.  He was named an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star on 2010. Shandor is member of the Firm’s marketing committee.

Shandor works in the Firm’s Canton office and resides in Poland, Ohio with his son, Andrew.

Kaminski is a member of the Firm’s Estate Planning and Probate practice group and focuses his practice primarily on wills, living trusts, charitable trusts, special needs trusts, retirement plan trusts for IRA and 401(k) accounts, wealth preservation strategies, tax planning, estate plans for parents of disabled children, and estate planning for unmarried couples.   His experience also includes living wills, health care powers of attorney, and guardianship.

A member of the Ohio State Bar Association and a member of the Stark County Bar Association, John is a member of the disputed fee committee.  He serves as President of the Board of Directors for Community Services of Stark County and on the Board of Directors for the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation.

Kaminski received his J.D. from Indiana University at Bloomington, cum laude, in 2003 and his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in 2000.

John splits his time between the Firm's Canton and Hudson offices.  He resides in Canton.
