Thomas E. Hartnett
With an extensive knowledge of the intricacies of real estate law, Tom regularly counsels corporate officers at financial institutions, national real estate developers and business owners on legal transactions involving industrial, commercial and residential properties.
Since joining Day Ketterer in 1993, Tom has helped businesses with their growth initiatives through the sale and acquisition of real estate, securement of financing, 1031 tax exchanges, title insurance, and compliance with zoning regulations throughout Northeast Ohio.
An active member of both Stark County Association of Realtors and The Ohio Land Title Association,
Tom works hard to facilitate new build, renovation and restoration projects that are win-win investments for developers and the community. He has substantial experience in commercial transactions, as well as subdivision and condominium developments. He often appears at public hearings to help existing neighbors understand and accept the need for new planned use construction projects. Tom has been instrumental in helping develop by-laws and regulations to sustain strong neighborhood associations to preserve property aesthetics' and character. In the event of real property and construction disputes, he has the capabilities to take these issues to trial.
In addition to his real estate practice, Tom actively manages the day-to-day operations and business development of Day Ketterer's Title Insurance Agency. Real estate agents, loan officers, builders, developers, investors, buyers and sellers can expect responsive, cost-competitive closings to complete clear title transfers.
