Day Ketterer Merges with Boutique Employment and Workers' Compensation Firm


Day Ketterer is delighted to announce its merger with the employment law firm of Andrews & Wyatt. The addition of Andrews & Wyatt adds five attorneys, adding significantly to Day Ketterer’s employment practice.

Andrews & Wyatt is a boutique employment and workers’ compensation firm advising employers throughout Ohio. Joining Day Ketterer from Andrews & Wyatt are Attorneys David Andrews, Thomas Wyatt, Jennifer Bennett, Jerry Cline, and Alex Leuchtag, along with Paralegals Nicole Newberger and Joan Steinman, and Julie Dixon who will provide support in the firm’s accounting department. They will work out of the firm’s Hudson office.

David Andrews works closely with employers to address discipline and discharge matters including compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and equal employment opportunity laws.

Thomas Wyatt has successfully defended employers, truck accessory manufacturers, healthcare organizations and hospitals in workers’ compensation matters before the Industrial Commission of Ohio.

Jennifer Bennett is a skilled workers’ compensation attorney working to defend self-insured and state-funded employers in workers’ compensation claims and related litigation involving back injuries, repetitive motion, and other common healthcare industry workplace injury claims.

Jerry Cline defends employers in a wide range of employment law issues and represents them before state and federal courts in complex litigation matters. Jerry is often called on by Human Resource departments when faced with whistleblower actions, prevailing wage disputes, National Labor Relations Board charges, unemployment issues, and workers’ compensation retaliation claims.

Alex Leuchtag works with self-insured and state-funded employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in various courts throughout the state and hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio. Alex also assists employers in the defense of Violation of a Specific Safety Requirement (VSSR) claims.
