Eleven Day Ketterer Attorneys Selected for Inclusion in Best Lawyers in America© 2017

Day Ketterer announces that eleven of its attorneys have been listed in the legal, peer-review publication The Best Lawyers in America© 2017, with two attorneys receiving additional honors as “Lawyer of the Year” in Akron. Lawyer of the Year recognition is awarded by Best Lawyers® to individual attorneys with the highest overall peer feedback for a specific practice area and geographic location.

Merle D. Evans II (Trace) was named 2017 Insurance Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Akron. Evans, a member of the firm’s executive committee, has nearly 30 years of commercial litigation experience and defends national insurance companies and international manufacturers on coverage issues, products liability claims and intentional torts.

Evans was also selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2017 in Insurance Law.

James R. Blake was named 2017 Litigation – Labor and Employment “Lawyer of the Year” in Akron. Blake, who joined Day Ketterer in 1973, is a former managing partner of the firm who has more than 40 years of experience in defense litigation involving electrical injuries, personal injury, products liability, construction accidents, and complex corporate litigation.

Blake was also selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2017 in the fields of Employment Law – Management, Labor Law – Management, and Litigation – Labor and Employment.
